Volunteer as an Individual
Crop Swap
Backyard & Orchard Gleaning
Duration: 2–3 hours
Physical Requirement: very active; reaching, walking uneven terrain, carrying 15–30 lb bags
Includes: Quick Pick, Big Pick, Neighborhood Pick, or Solo Pick
Pick fresh fruit from residential backyards, neighborhood trees, or larger orchards. You'll work with a small team, use clippers or picker poles for tall branches, and fill bags with fruit. All produce is donated to local food pantries.
Move Our Mission
Driving & Transport Shifts
Duration: 1.5 hours
Physical Requirements: low physical demand; some loading/unloading. Driving comfort is required. Training needed for van shifts.
Includes: End-of-event transport from any program or dedicated Bumper Crop farm-to-pantry runs.
Drive rescued food from farms, markets, orchards, or grocery stores to nearby feeding partners. You'll use a ProduceGood van or your own vehicle. Great for independent volunteers or couples who prefer solo work.
Market Share
Grocery, Market & Farm Gleaning
Duration: 1–2 hours
Physical Requirements: Mostly standing; some lifting up to 30 lbs. Outdoors at loading docks or markets.
Includes: Grocery Gleaning, Farmers Market, Produce Pack Out, or Bumper Crop
Rescue surplus produce before it's discarded. Sort "ugly" or overripe items at a grocery store loading dock, collect donation bins from farmers' market vendors, or box rescued produce for community distribution.

Are you a backyard grower, orchard owner, farmer, or grocer looking to donate excess produce? We can help by coming to your residence or business to harvest, sort, and/or haul it to feed those in need. Donated produce is sent to our Produce Provision Network (PPN) of 80 feeding partners.
