ProduceGood is committed to reducing food waste and hunger while building community by gleaning excess produce from orchards, backyards, farms, Farmers Markets and grocers and delivering it to the food insecure of San Diego County.
We are a food recovery organization but not a traditional one. We go to the source of surplus produce – orchards, backyards, farms, farmers markets and grocers – to glean the excess and then transport it to pantries, shelters and other organizations who feed food-insecure people in San Diego County.
Become a member of ProduceGood’s active and engaged Community Orchard of volunteers of all ages and abilities who share an interest in alleviating hunger and food waste. Together, we are recovering food from over 800 growers/farmers to serve 90,000+ seniors, families, women & children unhoused, immigrants/refugees and many other groups through the distribution of over 90 feeding partners.
Valuable resources to help inform and engage the community in gleaning and food recovery.
It takes a community to move our mission. Monetary and Gift-in-Kind support from diverse sources helps ProduceGood connect the excess to the need every week of the year.
